Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter No Bake Bars
Look no further, the quickest and most delicious no bake bars are here to save the day! These have become my favorite when I want a mid-day sweet treat to save me over. I also secretly tossed in some plant based chocolate protein, too. We could all use a few extra inserts of protein to keep us fueled. I personally love keeping these in the freezer in a sealed container and then popping them out a couple minutes before devouring. You can ask Ella for herself but when I asked her if she approved, she looked at me with her eyes closed, nodded her head and gave a thumbs up. If that's not a win from a toddler, I'm not sure what is. So, here ya go! The best no bake bars I've come to find :).

Ingredients
- - 3.5 cups or so of One Degree Organics Sprouted Gluten Free Chocolate Crisps
- - 1 cup creamy peanut butter or favorite nut butter
- - pinch of sea salt
- - drizzle of maple syrup or honey
- - 1 serving your favorite plant based protein powder (optional, but so good!)
- - 2 tsp coconut oil
- - hefty handful of dark chocolate chips (if vegan, make sure the chips are too)
- - sea salt flakes to top
Directions
- Step 1
- – Line a baking dish with parchment paper and set aside. I used a bread loaf pan, but any will do really.
- Step 2
- - In a small saucepan over the stove, add creamy peanut butter or your favorite nut butter.
- Step 3
- - Add a drizzle of maple syrup and pinch of sea salt.
- Step 4
- - Continue to stir over low heat.
- Step 5
- - After about 3 minutes of stirring or until mixture if fully combined, remove from heat.
- Step 6
- - Gradually add in sprouted gluten free chocolate crisps, folding together.
- Step 7
- - Slowly toss in your plant based protein powder and fold again. Mixture should be super thick and rather hard to fold continually.
- Step 8
- - Transfer chocolate mixture to the lined baking dish and press down so it’s firmly set inside.
- Step 9
- - Set the baking dish in the freezer for a few minutes.
- Step 10
- - In the same small saucepan as before, add coconut oil and chocolate chips.
- Step 11
- - Continue to stir until chocolate is fully melted.
- Step 12
- - Remove from heat.
- Step 13
- - Take baking dish out of freezer.
- Step 14
- - Pour melted chocolate over the chocolate crisps mixture. I like to tap the dish on the counter so that there’s no bubbles and ideally the chocolate melts pretty evenly.
- Step 15
- - Top with sea salt flakes.
- Step 16
- - Transfer back into the freezer for about 15-20 minutes until set.
- Step 17
- - Cut into squares and enjoy, or put back in the freezer to set even longer and enjoy for another time 🙂
