I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for tasty ways to add more greens to all of our diets, especially Ella’s! She has always been a huge smoothie girl, thankfully! I’m pretty sure it’s because I started making her smoothies when she was 6 months old. It was a fun way for both of us to get some extra nutrients and who doesn’t like seeing a baby drink a smoothie! Lately, Ella has been wanting to *make her own* smoothie, so I let her add in almost all the ingredients and press the button to blend. So, to put it lightly, all of the smoothies lately have been coming out much darker in color because she LOVES to add handfuls of frozen blueberries. I love it, and so does she, but they don’t always look the most appealing. But they sure do pack in a lot of vitamins and nutrients and extra greens. The one we have been drinking so much lately is this Super Greens Smoothie. Ella has been obsessing over peanut butter and jelly sandwiches like no other and so many tubes of string cheese that I needed to find another way for her to get the other essentials in. This smoothie packs in all the goods that you may not *want* to eat throughout the day, and it’s also SO much easier to put it all in a smoothie and consume it at once!
So let’s try to keep our bodies happy and healthy and fight off any viruses that are going around…If a feisty toddler approves of this smoothie, then I bet you will too!
