Watch out, guys! This stuff is so ridiculously addicting, so beware after you take a first couple bites that there’s no going back ;). But seriously, do you guys realize how difficult it is to find a Chex Mix that is both gluten free and and vegan-friendly? To make this one gluten free, just use your favorite Chex Mix, in this case I used the rice kind. Then you just need to find a vegan friendly Worcestershire sauce, but I have searched quite a bit and never found one, so I just looked it up and it’s so easy to make your own! Combine that with some nuts, dried fruits if you’d like and even a little pop of sweet, if that excites you.I have also made another version of this Chex Mix but a Pumpkin Chai Spiced variation with my homemade chai spice blend that I used in my gluten free pancakes. There’s really so many different ways you can take this Chex Mix, but here’s how you do the original version!
Also, how cute is this…I was looking for the jar of Chex Mix last night when I definitely thought I was losing my mind, but it turns out that Ella just “needed it to set the mood” for her “tea party with her baby”. I looked to the little table and there it was. So I guess it is pretty obvious that she is my daughter and needs Chex Mix to “set the mood” for her dinner party ;).

Ingredients
- 1 box of Chex Mix (rice or corn for gluten free)
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1 cup pistachios (we used the Chili Rubbed ones in our most recent batch)
- 1 cup cashews
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup dried cherries (optional, but I liked the added texture)
- 1 cup gluten free mini pretzel sticks (we used some Tangy Dijon grain free pretzels)
- 1 cup of pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup of sunflower seeds
- Homemade GF/V Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup coconut aminos
- 3 tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt
Directions
- Step 1
- – Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line your biggest baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Step 2
- - In a large bowl, add all of your dry ingredients.
- Step 3
- - In a small saucepan, add all your liquid ingredients and let it come to a light simmer for about a minute. Make sure whisk all the ingredients together well and then turn off the heat and cover the saucepan for about 5 minutes. Then Let it come back down to room temperature.
- Step 4
- - Once sauce has cooled, then drizzle it over the dry Chex mix ingredients in the large bowl.
- Step 5
- - Using a rubber spatula, fold and then toss all the ingredients so they are somewhat evenly coated. Do this until all the Worcestershire sauce is gone.
- Step 6
- - Then spread out the Chex mixture onto the lined baking sheet and transfer to the oven for 40 minutes. I set a timer for 20 minutes and tossed/flipped halfway. The kitchen will smell SO good when it’s baking.
- Step 7
- - After it’s done baking, remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes and then share with friends!!
